Narendra Modi has failed to control the CBI internal feud even after calling the officers to his office. The Governor of RBI and his deputies are openly expressing their displeasures. Satyapal Malik, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir exclaimed his apprehensions about how the Central Government is poking its nose in the state’s internal affairs. All these instances do prove that the famed Modi-Shah duo is losing their grasp on Central Government policies, but the question is are they losing their hold on their party too? This is one of the central questions that are going around in the domain of national politics.
Why are questions being raised that the Modi-Shah duo is losing the grasp of the party? The reasons cited are, Amit Shah himself had to agree to Vasundhara Raje’s demand about choosing BJP’s state president in Rajasthan, in Madhya Pradesh Usha Thakur has raised questions on dynasty politics within BJP in the state and in UP they are unable to put a leash on Yogi Adityanath’s ambitions. All these are pointing to the rising discontentment against the duo inside the party. Apart from these the constant criticisms of Central Government’s decisions by ex-Chief Economic Advisor, Arvind Subramanian and the ex-Chief Election Commissioner Om Prakash Rawat are adding fuel to the fire.
All these pictures are pointing to the fact that how much unease does the Modi-Shah duo facing inside the party. In fact some are already saying that nobody is under control, everybody is turning into a rebel. In fact Nana Patole of Maharashtra, who recently quit the party to join Congress was quoted “Please wait, you will see more reversals.”
There was a time when it was said that Congress is full of leaders who are at loggerheads with each other. Now the picture has changed a little bit and the reverse situation is being seen in BJP. So far, those who have kept quiet about the duo are voicing their displeasures though GVL Narasimha Rao, the spokesperson of BJP said that these are all small matters which will not blow into any major crisis.
